DEMØNIX is a rising Belgian hard rock band from La Louvière. With their electrifying sound, these 5 musicians are destined to be the new staples of your playlists. This is the story of five young Belgian musicians with a passion for hard rock, united by boundless ambition and an unshakable sense of humor. Crowned grand winners of the prestigious D. AWARDS (where, admittedly, we were the only participants and organizers), we have also proudly claimed the title of self-proclaimed kings of philosophical rock. But don’t be fooled: behind all these noble titles lie powerful riffs, captivating melodies, sincere texts, and an overflowing energy. Our mission? To make your speakers shake and stir your rock’n’roll souls.
OUR HISTORY
2023
FIRST TEMPORARY LINE UP
DEMØNIX was formed in June 2023 in La Louvière, Belgium, by guitarist Lucas Doucy, vocalist Lucien Flament, bassist Alexandre Troch, and drummer Sylvain Moons. Right from the start, the founding members established a bold artistic direction — aiming to blend hard rock intensity with lyrical depth and conceptual ambition.
During their very first rehearsal, the band improvised the core of what would become their debut single SPECIAL. Around the same time, they also began working on WET SENSATIONS, one of their earliest compositions. These tracks reflected the themes that would later define DEMØNIX: spiritual collapse, sensual tension, and the search for transcendence.
The band performed their first three concerts as a quartet, using the stage to explore their identity and test their ideas in front of live audiences.
2024
FROM PIANO BAR TO SPECIAL
2024 was a year of growth and acceleration. Early in the year, DEMØNIX completed its definitive line-up with the arrival of guitarist Adrien Montani, whose contribution deepened the band's arrangements and sonic textures.
With this solid formation, the band began performing more regularly — from small piano bars to local festivals and youth venues. These shows were crucial in building stage confidence, refining their sound, and connecting with audiences. Each concert brought them closer to who they wanted to be as performers and storytellers.
Creatively, the band was more active than ever. While preparing the official release of SPECIAL, they continued composing new material. Songs like WIZARD, with a powerful riff, and F*CKIN’ WITH GOD, a confrontational and ironic reflection on spiritual and societal decay, emerged during this fertile period.
In November, DEMØNIX released SPECIAL, their first single, conceived in 2023 and developed over several months. The song expressed the collapse of ideals and the spiritual disorientation of modern youth — themes inspired by Nietzsche’s “death of God”. Its powerful riffs and emotionally charged vocals set the tone for the band’s artistic vision.
2025
FROM WET SENSATIONS TO LION N' CHILD
In 2025, DEMØNIX moved into a new creative chapter. WET SENSATIONS, first written in 2023, was finally released in a definitive version — a darker, more militant opus that confronts us with the responsibility of leaving men in the hands of a murderous sea..
But the true focal point of this period is LION N’ CHILD — a future concept album that picks up where SPECIAL left off. If SPECIAL was about collapse — the death of values, the disintegration of meaning — LION N’ CHILD is about what comes after: reconstruction, rebirth, and the will to redefine one’s own truth.
Each song in LION N’ CHILD explores a stage in this transformation: from disillusionment to resistance, from nihilism to the creation of new values. The title itself is a reference to Thus Spoke Zarathustra by Nietzsche, in which the lion and the child represent two stages of the spiritual metamorphosis. DEMØNIX draws on this imagery to shape a narrative of inner revolution and self-invention.
Live performances became more immersive and intense, blending raw energy with a theatrical, symbolic aesthetic. DEMØNIX was no longer just a band — it was a vision in motion.
